South Shore Tutor provides a wide range of services. All of our services are performed by highly-qualified instructors who adhere to strict standards. We can combine any of our services to provide the perfect fit for you.

Test Preparation
We help the student to develop successful skills and strategies that are appropriate for simple spelling tests to college admission tests. We provide opportunities to apply skills learned so students will feel confident, and prepared, for a test. We specialize in Spelling, Math, English, Spanish, French, Computer Training, Microsoft Excel, Tax Accounting, Financial Accounting and test taking skills.  In addition, we also prepare students for the following exams:  ISEE, MCAS, SSAT, SAT, GED, and the Real Estate Exam.  Our services are not only beneficial for students experiencing difficulties in one or more academic areas, but are helpful to students looking to advance their education. We also have programs available for gifted children.

Special Needs
Our techniques for supporting students with learning disabilities have a remarkable success rate. We begin by defining what a successful outcome should be, and design strategies to achieve a desired outcome. We assist students with reading problems, ADD/ADHD, auditory processing problems to those who are formally diagnosed as learning disabled.  We will find the right tutor and the right plan for each child.

Differentiated Learning Styles
Whether your child is an auditory, visual, or kinesthetic learner, our teachers will find a strategy that will result in success. Techniques are shared and practiced, so students can achieve success on their own.

Individualized Attention
We offer a level of attention that most franchise tutoring centers cannot achieve. We offer one on one tutoring only.  We will never have a crowded environment where teachers are preoccupied. We make sure our teachers have the ability to focus attention on each student.

Reinforcement and Educational Advancement

South Shore Tutor works with parents, teachers, and other professionals as requested. Our teachers can attend meetings, and support classroom instructors. Parents are provided with regular reports and feedback. Each student's progress is continually monitored and all information is kept in strict confidence.
